How tight should I make my Drain? How tight is too tight ?
Hans Kristof drains are designed for the easiest installation possible. Hans KristofTM drains should only be hand tightened plus just a little extra. Using a wrench will only strip the threads and result in your beautiful new faucet to leak or break. DO NOT overtighten ! Sinks can be stressed and hold the stress of overtightening for extended amounts of time until one day, out of the blue, it can break, crack or even worse. It is very important that the drain just be naturally tightened not over tightened. The rubber seals are all that should be needed to prevent leaking and over tightening it absolutely not necessary. Use only a professional installer who should be licensed and should already know this information.
